A Passion For Life

A Passion for Life Logo 2014 + StraplineAt the end of March we have a series of events designed for people who are interested in investigating the Christian faith but may not be members of a church.  These events are being organised by a number of churches in Chesham, including those of our parish.  Please note that the evening events all take place in Broadway Baptist Church in the centre of Chesham, near the bus stops.

Entry to all events is FREE with the exception of the Colin Buchanan concert, which is now sold out.  Tickets are not required for entry to any of the other events.


Sunday 23rd March, 7.30pm, Broadway Baptist Church
“Has Science Buried God?” with John Lennox
Oxford Mathematics Professor John Lennox has publicly debated Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens and has written extensively on the interface between science and faith.

“A Passionate Life” – Rico Tice & Henry Olonga
Henry Olonga, first and youngest black cricketer to play for Zimbabwe, came to prominence for his daring stand against the Mugabe regime which led him to flee his homeland amid charges of treason.  A very accomplished singer, Olonga uses words and song to tell his story of cricketing fame, fighting injustice and finding faith.  Interviewer, Rico Tice, an international Christian speaker, will end with evening with a
challenge to live a passionate life.

Saturday 29th March, 2.30pm, St Mary’s Church – SOLD OUTcolin
Children’s concert with Colin Buchanan – fun, laughter, silliness and participation for families with under 11s.
A multi-award winning Australian singer and songwriter, Colin has produced over 20 albums and had a long career as a children’s TV presenter.  Colin has devoted much of his time to producing Christian albums for children, which are popular worldwide.  Unfortunately, tickets for this concert are now sold out.

Saturday 29th March, 8pm, Broadway Baptist ChurchHammad and jo
“East meets West – Broadway to Bollywood”
with Guest Speaker Rico Tice
A night of fantastic music from local professional musicians including Hammad Baily, Joanne Lunn, Ray Monk – and live Bollywood dancers!  Rico Tice will end the evening with a message:
“Good news for the whole world.”
